Browser Compatibility

Encamp works best on up-to-date browsers, specifically Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.

The following browsers are supported by Encamp. Please ensure you're utilizing the most up-to-date version of your browser. We'll walk through how to check your version to make sure you're set up for success. At this time, we do not support Internet Explorer. 

Google Chrome

Below are the steps to check what version of Chrome is currently installed on your computer. If you find that Chrome needs to be updated, check with your IT department or follow the instructions to install updates. 
  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, look at More More.
  • If an update is pending, the icon will be colored:
    • Green: An update was released less than 2 days ago.
    • Orange: An update was released about 4 days ago.
    • Red: An update was released at least a week ago.
To update Chrome, follow these instructions:
  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click More More.
  • Click Update Google Chrome.
    • Important: If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.
  • Click Relaunch.

Microsoft Edge

Below are the steps to check what version of Edge is currently installed on your computer. If you find that Edge needs to be updated, check with your IT department or follow the instructions to install updates.

  • On your computer, open Microsoft Edge. 
  • At the top right, click the 3 dots and select Settings. 
  • In the Settings menu, click on "About Microsoft Edge." You'll see the version displayed on that screen. If your version is up to date, it will display a blue checkmark with the words "Microsoft Edge is up to date."

To update Edge, follow these instructions:

  • Follow the instructions above. If updates are available, Edge will automatically check for updates. 
  • If it finds a newer version of Edge available, it will begin downloading and updating your version automatically. 
  • Once the update is finished, you will need to restart your browser. 

Mozilla Firefox

Below are the steps to check what version of Firefox is currently installed on your computer. If you find that Firefox needs to be updated, check with your IT department or follow the instructions to install updates.

  • On your computer, open Firefox. 
  • At the top right, click the 3 bars and select Preferences. 
  • In the General section, scroll down to Firefox Updates. 
  • If your version is up-to-date, you will see "😀 Firefox is up to date" and the version number above that.

To update Firefox, follow these instructions:

  • Follow the instructions above. 
  • If a newer version is available, Firefox will automatically update. 

Safari

Below are the steps to check what version of Safari is currently installed on your computer. If you find that Safari needs to be updated, check with your IT department or follow the instructions to install updates.

  • On your Mac, open Safari. 
  • On the menu bar, click Safari then About Safari.
  • This will show the latest version of the browser. 

To update Safari, follow these instructions:

  • The macOS System Status normally notifies you of any OS updates, which includes updates to Safari. 
  • If you want to manually check for updates, open the App Store. 
  • On the left side menu at the bottom, select Updates. 
  • If there is an update to install, it will show up under Available.
