Managing ‘Not Reporting’ Facilities

Mark a facility as 'Not Reporting' in Encamp.

Encamp allows you to keep track of all of your facilities regardless of whether a Tier II report will be submitted through the platform.

Here are a few reasons why a facility may not need to submit a Tier II report through Encamp for a given year:

  • All of its products are below reporting thresholds; therefore, a report would be voluntary.
  • A report was submitted for the facility outside of Encamp.
  • The facility is co-located with another facility that is submitting a report.
  • The facility was sold to another owner/operator during the year prior to the reporting year.
  • The facility ceased operations during the year prior to the reporting year.
✏️
NOTE: If a facility was sold or stopped operations during the reporting year, a report is still required. For instance, if a facility closed in February 2023, a report must still be submitted for Reporting Year 2023 (which will occur in January or February 2024). However, a report for Reporting Year 2024 won't be needed.

Marking a Facility as “Not Reporting”

You can designate a facility as "Not Reporting" in one of two ways:

Method 1: Individual Reports

Step 1: Navigate to the Reports screen in the EPCRA module.

Step 2: Find the facility you wish to mark as "Not Reporting.”

Step 3: Click on the three vertical dots on the right side to open the menu, then select Mark as Not Reporting.

Step 4: Choose the appropriate reason and click Save. Additional information may be needed depending on the reason selected.

The Status column for those reports should now read "Not Reporting.”

TIP: If a facility has been marked as "Not Reporting" by mistake, you can easily revert its status to "Not Started" using either of the above methods. The Mark as Not Started option should be available when a "Not Reporting" facility is selected.
